Catholic Religious Australia (CRA) is the peak body and the national voice of Catholic Leaders of around 150 religious institutes across Australia. CRA provides a broad range of services to support Religious Institute Leaders, at this time of change within the Church.

Reporting to the National Executive Director, the purpose of the role of the Coordinator of Committees is to facilitate the work of CRA’s committees and undertake projects to support CRA members.

This role requires an enthusiastic and energetic person who enjoys working with people and project coordination, delivering events and supporting the work of varied committees  as a way of enlivening the mission of CRA.  Strong interpersonal skills and having initiative are key to this position.

An end-to-end role, the successful candidate will be responsible for meeting preparation, implementation and administration associated with committees and projects.

A minimum of three years’ experience in a senior administrative role with project management expertise would be considered favourably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organisational and administrative support of CRA Committees

  • Undertaking the work of the committees which includes coordinating seminars and other events

  • Delivering on short and long-term projects

  • Working collaboratively with the CRA Secretariat together with religious institute leaders and members

Essential Criteria

  • High level administration and project management expertise, delivering events and varied initiatives

  • Strong organisational, time management skills with the capacity to re-prioritise and move between multiple projects and tasks

  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Capacity to deliver short and long-term projects

  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail

  • High level of initiative with a proven capacity to work with minimal supervision while also being a positive team player

  • Alignment with the mission and values of CRA
