CRA recently lodged a submission to the Federal Government addressing the Greenwashing tactics employed by Australian industries, that can mislead consumers attempting to consider a product’s environmental impact.

Following today’s announcement that Catholic Church Insurance is voluntarily being placed in a run-off situation, we restate our commitment to responding with justice and compassion to victims and survivors of abuse in Catholic settings – as we have sought to do for many years.

Catholic Religious Australia (CRA) recently lodged a submission to the Federal Government addressing  structural  issues in our economy that are contributing to the current cost of living crisis, including exorbitant corporate profits, inequitable tax concessions and the over-dependence on fossil fuel energy sources.

In light of the recent announcement from Catholic Church Insurance (CCI), the Catholic Church in Australia wishes to assure both the Catholic and wider community that it remains fully committed to continuing to engage with survivors of abuse to meet all our legal obligations. We will do this according to the principles of justice and compassion.
